Trent Bridge will once again host The Hundred as the Rockets look ahead to the summer

Trent Rockets have made a splash in the first recruitment window for this summer’s Hundred with marquee signings for both the men’s and women’s competitions.

The Rockets Men, who lost out in last year’s final to three-time winners Oval Invincibles – now renamed MI London after a major investment – have landed Nottinghamshire favourite and England opener Ben Duckett for the 2026 tournament.

Rockets Women, who finished a disappointing fifth last summer, have welcomed back record run scorer Nat Sciver-Brunt and secured her England team-mate Sophia Dunkley.

The Hundred has a different format for signings this year as an auction will take place later in March – but teams are allowed to sign four players directly prior to that.

The annual series is cricket’s attempt to make games faster and more accessible to a wider audience. It typically runs in August and features 100 balls per innings.

As well as Duckett, Trent Rockets Men have added Australian power hitter Tim David who played for Southern Brave from 2021-23, New Zealand white ball captain Mitchell Santner who played for Northern Supercharges (renamed to Sunrisers Leeds) last year and have retained wicketkeeper-batter Tom Banton.

Sciver-Brunt returns to Trent Rockets for a sixth straight year while England batter Dunkley moves from Welsh Fire. Rockets have also retained the Australian all-rounder Ash Gardner and signed Australian bowler Kim Garth who last played for Manchester Originals (renamed to Manchester Super Giants).

Both Rockets teams now have new coaches with Peter Moores replacing Andy Flower for the men and Chris Read taking over from Jon Lewis for the women.

Moores and Read are no strangers to Trent Bridge, with Moores having been head coach of the county team since 2016 while Read played for the county for 19 years from 1998-2017.
