A Nottinghamshire couple were attacked with a sledgehammer and a pickaxe in a violent robbery at their home.
Five masked intruders stole high-value watches and designer bags after assaulting the man and his wife who was ‘physically dragged’ upstairs at their home off Knowle Road, Kimberley.
The man, who was hit with the sledgehammer in the back and knee, was forced into giving the location of the items.
Other belongings such as handbags, a mobile phone and a wallet containing bank cards were also stolen.
A reward of up to £7,500 is now being offered by Crimestoppers for information about the raid.
Detective Constable James Gill, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “The offenders were seen on CCTV to enter woodland to the north of the property.
“Through automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) camera enquiries, a grey hatchback vehicle using false plates was identified on the nearby A610, driving in the Nottingham area between 7:21pm and 7:49pm on Thursday 4 December.
“We believe that, post-offence, the vehicle travelled out of Nottinghamshire and then went through Derbyshire, Leicestershire, and Warwickshire, before entering the West Midlands region.”

The goods stolen are estimated to be worth £1 million.
Among the luxury watches stolen were – Audemars Piguet Royal Oak QP, Rolex ‘Platona’ Daytona Cosmograph (reference 126506), Omega Speedmaster ‘Snoopy’ 50th anniversary and a pair matching gents and ladies Audemars Piguet Royal Oak ‘London’ edition.

The reward is only available for three months.
