A 14 and 16 year old have been arrested on suspicion of burglary, theft and criminal damage after loud banging was heard at a Hyson Green property.
Police were alerted to the noise, in Gregory Boulevard, just before 1.30am on Sunday, January 19.
The doors to the property were found damaged and a moped parked outside was found with a missing battery.
A search around the area led to the arrest of the duo a few doors down the street.
The 14-year-old was found in possession of a battery, believed to be taken from the moped, and the 16-year-old boy was found in possession of pliers and a brick.
The 16-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of going equipped for theft of a motor vehicle.
Sergeant Lee Wilson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Thanks to the officers involved in this incident, we were able to provide a police response within minutes of this call coming in.
“After arriving at the scene, the officers conducted a quick search of the nearby area, which ultimately led to two suspects being identified and arrested for a series of alleged offences.
“Burglary is an incredibly serious offence, so as a force we will always look to do whatever we can to respond quickly to reports of a break-in and take positive action.”
