The Blaze’s new signing Charley Phillips, 21, has expressed her excitement for the upcoming cricket season.
The pace bowler made a permanent move from the Sunrisers in Essex to The Blaze back in November 2024, after a loan spell at the club.
Signing a two-year professional contract, Phillips’ schedule has become more demanding as the team prepare for the upcoming season.
She said: “It’s been a lot more intense here than at the Sunrisers.
“The training days are longer and hard but it’s something I really enjoy.
“Its really rewarding seeing the hard work pay off.”

Last season The Blaze had great success winning the Charlotte Edwards Cup.
Phillips hopes that she can help the team retain the title and expressed her excitement for the upcoming season.
“I haven’t made a professional debut yet so that’ll be my personal goal for the season but obviously I want to win more games and help us win more cups.
“The teams reached new levels the last few seasons and this is something I’m excited to help them continue.
“Team moral is really good right now, were all really enjoying it at the moment and are really excited to get started.”
