A knifeman has been found guilty of stabbing someone 12 times in the head during a street fight.

Connor Page, attacked the victim in June of last year on Wilford Street, Nottingham in what Police later described as a savage and frenzied attack on June 23rd last year.

At Nottingham Crown Court, Page pleaded guilty to wounding with intent but denied a charge of attempted murder.

After a two day trial the jury convicted the 27 year old of attempted murder on the 13th of January.

Page has now been remanded into custody to await a sentencing date.

Detective Constable Ruth Towle, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a savage and frenzied attack that will have been incredibly distressing for anyone who witnessed it – not to mention the victim, who required surgery but was thankfully not more seriously injured.”
