The latest transfer gossip coming out of the City Ground
Nottingham Forest are in talks with Borussia Dortmund over a loan deal for American international Gio Reyna.
Reyna has been at Dortmund since 2019, signing for the German outfit at 17.
The versatile attacking midfielder has made 89 Bundesliga appearances scoring on 13 occasions.
The American returned to the USMNT last October following a run of injuries and falling out with head coach Gregg Berthalter.
With Forest being referred to an independent commission over their breach of PSR, the deal will be a loan till the end of the season.
Ajax’s Carlos Borges is in advanced talks with Nottingham Forest over signing on loan until the end of the season.
The Manchester City youth product signed for the Dutch club last summer and has made 16 appearances this season, scoring once.
Borges can play either side of a front three and would bolster an already strong Forest attack.
The 19-year-old made his Portugal Under 21 debut in September and has since made three appearances in Euro Under 21 qualifying.
Scoring 21 goals in 24 games in Premier League 2, led Borges to be signed by Ajax for £14 million but he never made an appearance for the Champions.
Nigerian forward Emmanuel Dennis has been recalled by Nottingham Forest to be sent back out on loan to former club Watford, following an unsuccessful spell in Turkey.
Dennis has failed to make his mark at the City Ground after signing from the Hertfordshire club in Summer 2022 for a fee of £15 million.
The 26-year-old was left out of Forest’s 25-man Premier League squad and spent the first half of the season on loan at Turkish Super Lig side, Istanbul Basaksehir.
Notable performances have been scarce in a Forest shirt, scoring just twice in 27 appearances for The Reds.
The striker still has two and a half years left on his Forest contract and will hope to find his feet during this loan which runs until the end of the season.
Olympique Marseille have stepped up their efforts to sign on-loan Forest man Nuno Tavares.
The fullback is under contract at Arsenal who are said to be “100% open to selling” on a permanent deal.
The 23-year-old joined Forest in the Summer on loan from The Gunners with a £12 million option to buy.
Tavares has made six appearances for The Reds this season with the FA cup replay against Blackpool marking his first start since late September.
Marseille had the defender on loan last season, where he featured regularly and ended the campaign with six goals to his name.
