Splendour Festive VIP section

Splendour Festival announced this morning that they will be taking a break in 2024.

The Festival normally takes place in summer at Wollaton Park with previous headliners The Kooks, Sugababes and Sam Ryder.

A Splendour spokesman said: “Last May, Nottingham City Council initiated a festival tender process for Wollaton Park, which regrettably has encountered numerous delays from the council’s side.

“Delivering a high-profile event like Splendour requires more than a year’s worth of planning, and these delays mean we have not been left with enough time to put on the festival.

It means that Nottingham folk will have to look further afield to access music on a big scale this year. Sheffield’s Tramlines is still going ahead in July 2024 and the line up has been released.

Headliners include Paolo Nutini, Jamie T and Snow Patrol.

Splendour reassured festival goers that they are working hard to bring Splendour back to Nottingham in 2025.
