CBJ Target
Meadow Lane, the home of Notts County and the venue for this weekend's clas against top of the table Stockport County.

A promising start to the season has quickly underwhelmed and The Magpies will hope regain their form against Stockport this weekend to avoid falling out of the Play-Offs.

Since 2005 the two clubs have gone head-to-head 13 times with County coming out with 5 wins and Stockport with 4.

Facing off at the start of the season the Magpies suffered a 2-1 defeat at Edgeley Park against The Hatters.

They now peer onto Saturday to try and redeem themselves with a humble victory, which will keep them cemented in their hopes for playoff and potential back-to-back promotions going into the second half of the season.

The clubs star man Macaulay Langstaff has been racking up amazing performances of late and has gained heavy attention in this transfer window.

Hopefully he can keep a level head for the weekend and hopefully County can keep hold of him for the rest of the season.

Their last result away at Blundell Park against Grimsby edged the fans with a 10-goal thriller which ended up as a draw, robbing County of the three points with a stoppage time equaliser.

Notts County have conceded a whopping 52 goals in this current campaign ranking them 3rd in the league of having the most goals scored against them.

However, they also have most goals scored in the league, cancelling out their defensive frailties.

With a powerhouse attack and a shaky defence we will be expecting goals in this exciting clash being held at Meadow Lane.

County will have to hold firm and shut up shop at the back to have any chance of competing with league leaders Stockport and holding onto their own Play-Off place or else face the prospect of falling down the table.

New manager Stuart Maynard will be looking for a positive performance from his new side as the January transfer window draws to a close and time runs out to arrest any weak links in the squad.

TARGET PREDICTIONS: Notts County 2-2 Stockport County
