A suspect has been charged as part of an investigation into a county-wide drugs supply conspiracy.

The charge relates to an investigation into the supply of Class A and Class B drugs across Nottingham.

Cocaine, heroin, crack cocaine, and cannabis were allegedly sold as part of the conspiracy, between August 2022 and November 2023.

Suspect Vejay Samuels was arrested following police enforcement in the Top Valley area on Monday (15 January).

Samuels, of Heatherington Gardens, Top Valley, has since been charged with Conspiracy to Supply Class A and Class B drugs.

The 29-year-old is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court later today (17 January).

Detective Constable Emma Grimley, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Drugs can have a devastating impact on communities by destroying everything they touch and ruining people’s lives.

“They are also often linked to wider criminal activity, including organised crime, which is why we take these offences so seriously and will always look to bring anyone suspected of involvement before the courts.”
