The Nottingham Outlaws Rugby League Club

The Nottingham Outlaws Rugby League team, one of the best sides in the Midlands, are looking for new players to sign up as they begin pre-season training.

Prior experience isn’t essential for the training, with a focus on developing core skills and working on a team game plan ahead of their opening pre-season game.

They play Bentley, a team from Newcastle, in their first scheduled friendly on Saturday, 25 February.

The Outlaws play and train at Nottingham Outlaws Rugby League Club on Lenton Lane, Nottingham, NG7 2SA.

Nottingham Outlaws also offer a scholarship scheme to those who study in Nottingham and are passionate about playing and coaching rugby league.

The scheme is labelled “Study, Train, Play” and the scheme was previously exclusive to Nottingham Trent University.

However, it is now open to both male and female students in Nottingham College, Nottingham Trent University and The University of Nottingham.

The team was actually formed in 1999 with players from the Nottingham Crusaders and former NTU players combining forces and entering the emerging Rugby League conference, with team colours based on NTU’s strip.

There are a range of benefits to the scholarship, with potential for coaching and refereeing qualifications, and support on and off the pitch to develop employability prospects.
