Two teenagers have been questioned by police on suspicion of supplying Class B drugs following a raid on a flat in Stapleford.

Officers carried out a warrant on Middle Orchard Street on Friday, January 20.

A bag containing a number of drugs was seized after the police forced entry into the property during the raid.

A man and a woman both aged 19 are being questioned by the police while enquiries continue.

Sergeant Heather Harding, of the Beeston Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Proactive warrants, such as this one, are just a part of our ongoing joint work to combat and disrupt the illegal supply of drugs and to protect people from the harm this sort of criminality causes.

“Cracking down on drug dealing remains a priority for our policing teams, and for the wider force, and I’d like to reassure the public that we will continue to keep up the pressure on drug dealers whose criminal activity is a blight on our communities and targets the most vulnerable.

“Information and intelligence from our communities is key to helping us to rid our streets of drugs and, as we have repeatedly shown, if people report their concerns to us then we will listen and take action.”
