Nottingham Forest have been known for an influx of transfer activity throughout the past six months, adding in depth all across the team.

Forest have been interested in a number of players throughout the January transfer window, looking to add to their already large squad.

Players such as PSG’s Keylor Navas and Newcastle’s Chris Wood are just an example of the calibre of player Forest could attract.

Not to mention they’ve already been involved in transfer dealings already, signing a promising young Brazilian, Danilo, from Palmeiras for £16m.

Amongst all the rumours, a certain Colombian striker has caught the eye of Forest fans.

Duvan Zapata, 31, who currently plays with Serie A side Atalanta, is known for being a prolific goal scorer having scored 80 goals in 174 appearances for the Italian side.

Forest fans stormed to social media to share their opinion on the rumour, with one saying: ”He doesn’t fit the recruitment aims for me of younger and higher potential players.”

Whereas another said: ”He’s a clear goal scorer, which is exactly the sort of player we need right now.”

Forest and Steve Cooper have had a number of unfortunate injuries leading to a selection headache, especially up top as Taiwo Awoniyi, the Reds’ main number nine, is now reported to be out until March.

This will ask a lot of questions of Steve Cooper as to the move he makes in whether he sticks with what he’s got or if he goes into the market for a replacement.

It is a decision which may make or break Forest’s season.
