itsu offers a healthy alternative compared to other fast food restaurants.

The second-ever itsu to open up here in the Midlands will be located in Nottingham City centre.

The East Asian-inspired fast food restaurant will be opening its doors on January 20 to Nottingham residents in the Victoria Centre.

Located at the former Mr Frites, itsu will offer a variety of hot and cold foods that can be eaten at the store, takeaway and even delivered straight to your door.

Itsu currently has 77 branches, with 54 of them located in London, and envisioned a world where beautiful, fast and healthy food is accessible to everyone.

Neil Miller, Chief Customer Officer, said: “We’re looking forward to bringing our nutritious menu to the people of Nottingham.

“Opening in Victoria Centre represents the next step in our ‘eat beautiful’ journey, bringing healthy, affordable food to more people in more places across the UK.”

Their food ranges from sushi & salads, rice bowls, gyoza & bao, soups, desserts and snacks.

After visiting Japan, CEO Julian Metcalfe fell in love with the “harmony and precision” of Japanese food, so he created a sustainable business offering delicious and healthy meals.

By developing a sustainable and new kind of food place, they could follow their values of health & happiness and eat beautiful and freshly made food on the spot.

They have a “there is no planet-B” motto, which is why they work with suppliers who value their crops and produce.

itsu has also opted for a “steamed, not fried” cooking method to enrich the meals’ vitamins and nutrients.

This allows every rice bowl and side not to include any unnecessary saturated fat.

They believe this is the cleanest way to cook any meal, which harmonises with their values and visions, bringing their promises to life.
