GameSpot have released a schedule for all the upcoming games being released this year with many expected to break records.

We shared our picks from each month that we predict will fly off the shelves and explain why they are worth picking up this year.

Age of Empires II & IV

After increased demand from fans of the Age of Empires franchise, they can finally look forward to the game coming to console have been answered and a remastered version of the game will be released this month on January 31st.

The game was originally released in 1997 and has since had multiple versions of the game being released. Now on January 31 2023, Age of Empires II and IV: Definitive edition is coming to Xbox series X/S and Xbox One.

Age of Empires is a real time strategy game that will also be available for cross play with PC as well.

Hogwarts Legacy

This is one that has got everybody talking.

The upcoming open world Hogwarts Legacy, coming to Xbox series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC on February 10.

Set 200 years before the Harry Potter films, fans are excited to experience student life at Hogwarts.

Harry potter fans especially have been waiting for a game like this for a while with the game claiming to have a fantastic storyline whilst allowing you to choose your own personality and which way you wish to take your character.

You get to decide this within the game, and it will be an open world adventure with plenty of customization options.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor

This game is a sequel to Jedi Fallen order which was released in 2019 and according to KIT GURU was the second-best selling game that year only missing to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Jedi Survivor will see an older Cal Kestis as a fully trained Jedi Knight with even more customisation options being added to the game, it will also have some great pre-order bonuses.

Star Wars fans cannot wait for this be released on March 17 and see where in the galaxy this game will take Cal this time.

Dead Island 2

After nine years of speculation on whether this game will ever be developed it will finally be released on April 28.

The game is first person with open world RPG features as you venture around Los Angeles that’s crawling with zombies.

After a long wait there is little doubt this game won’t be a popular one when it gets released on April 28.
