Notts County manager Luke Williams signs new contract until the end of the 2026/2027 season.

Notts County head coach Luke Williams has signed a new contract until the end of the 2026/2027 season. 

The Magpies are currently on an 18 match unbeaten run under Williams. 

Since the 42-year-olds arrival in June 2022 – Williams has transformed the National League side into title contenders.

County sit top of the Vanarama National League collating 62 points from 27 games. 

County owners, Chris and Alex Reedtz, expressed their joy via the club website at receiving head coach Williams signature. 

The club owners said: “We would like to place on record our thanks to Luke and Ryan for their fantastic work so far. 

“We’re very excited to see what the future holds with them at the helm.” 

The Magpies head coach won Manager of the Month in October 2022 after winning all six of the months games. 

Before arriving at Meadow Lane, Williams began his managerial career at Swindon Town shortly moving onto Bristol City’s U23 squad and then Milton Keynes Dons as assistant manager. 

Last time out – County were defeated by Maidstone United in the FA Trophy on penalties. 

The Magpies are next in action against Chesterfield United in the National League on Saturday, January 21. 

The oldest club in the world seem to have a bright future with Williams and his backroom staff in charge.
