1. Breathe (2017)

After contracting polio at the young age of 28, Robin Cavendish (Andrew Garfield) is confined to his bed and given only months to live.

But with the help of his wife Diana (Claire Foy) and her twin brothers, and the innovative ideas of inventor Teddy Hall, Cavendish emerges from the hospital ward and devotes the rest of his life to helping fellow patients and the disabled.

The film highlights how no matter what struggles people can face together, sticking by one another can make you forget all about them, love takes priority!

 

2. La La Land (2016)

When Sebastian (Ryan Gosling), a pianist, and Mia (Emma Stone), an actress, follow their passion and achieve success in their respective fields, they find themselves torn between their love for each other and their careers.
The film won many awards upon release, such as best directing in 2017, earning almost 450 million dollars at box office.
It has been labelled by critics as one of the best romance films of the 21st century.

3. Crazy, Stupid, Love (2011)

Cal (Steve Carell), a middle-aged man, is heartbroken when his wife asks for a divorce.
However, to get over his loss, he starts picking up women at a bar on the insistence of his new-found friend, Jacob (Ryan Gosling).
However, this new found ‘skill’ soon comes back to haunt him as an unexpected turn of events takes place, causing tension between the new friends.
A classic rom-com that will certainly make you smile.
