Nottingham Panthers in action

Nottingham Panthers returned to form to claim their first win in five games with a 5-2 win over Dundee Stars.

The panthers won for the first time since their victory over Fife Flyers earlier this month to help consolidate their position in the top four of the Elite League Standings.

The Panthers hosted the game at the Motorpoint Arena on the January 30, and were hoping for a win after losing in their last five games.

Matt Lane got Nottingham off to a good start after scoring two goals within seven minutes to give them the lead.

The first period ended 3-2 to the Panthers thanks to a goal in the last minute of the first period to break the deadlock.

Charlie Combs and Mathew Myers were sent to the penalty box for slashing and cross checking in the second period.

The Panthers were still able to get extend their lead by one in the second period before finishing off Dundee with another goal in the final period.

Nottingham Panthers will hope to continue their winning ways in their next fixture against The Glasgow Clan.
