Police busted a house full of cannabis plants after complaints from neighbours.

Officers seized around 30 plants from the house in Tiree Close, Trowell, on Wednesday, January 26.

A suspect is to be voluntarily interviewed in relation to ongoing enquiries.

Mike Ebbins, neighbourhood policing inspector said: “This enforcement activity shows how we are listening to concerns raised by our local communities and taking robust action to crack down on the illegal drug trade which causes so much misery to people’s lives.

“I want to reassure people that we will continue to act on feedback and intelligence we receive from members of the community as well as working closely with our partners to reduce criminality even further.”

This crackdown on drug production and consumption comes shortly after more than 100 cannabis plants were seized from a house in Eastwood on Sunday, January 23.
