1.) Bringing the restaurant to you
Nottingham and East Midlands private chef, Craig Floate, appeals to couples with children this February 14th as he comes to your home to cook you the best bespoke menu.
Craig Floate said: “You can create your own perfect evening and you don’t have to pay restaurant prices for wine.
“It’s a nice, special and intimate thing you can do for a loved one.”
Private chef of the year 2020/2021- great food club awards- has now been cooking for the public from the comfort of their own homes for eight years now and with Valentine’s day approaching he is getting a lot of interest and popularity, especially with the choice of your own selected menu.
He said: “With people still uncertain about going out and then having to isolate it means you can still have restaurant standard food but in your own space and when your finished you can just crawl upstairs to bed.”

2.) Romantic walks
For more of a money saving Valentines Day, couples can spend some quality time together and experience some of Nottingham’s best scenery.
Mikhail Smethurst, a member of the public, said: “West Bridgford embankment for a walk is my favourite, it’s local, picturesque and free.
“I don’t think spending lots of money on food and drink is always necessary as there are many other ways to show someone you love them.”
Other popular locations for a romantic walk would be Arboretum park and Wollaton Hall and deer park.
3.) Coco Tang
This oriental café and cocktail bar buried in Nottingham Lace Market gets very popular in the lead up of Valentines Day with a great setting and environment.
Livia Brown, customer of Coco Tang, said: “This is favourite Nottingham spot.
“The decorations are fresh and fun, the food is flavourful, and the staff are always friendly.
“You can’t book a table but the queue is worth it and if you want to gift yourself to an alcoholic drink the cocktails are a real treat, it’s my perfect date night.”
This seems to be the ideal place to go for oriental food and tasteful cocktails.
4.) Bar Iberico
This Spanish restaurant offers a range of classic and vegan tapas dishes, perfect for lunch or dinner with flavoursome cocktails to treat yourself.
Loyal customer, Richard Ward, said: “It’s the best food in Nottingham, the atmosphere is so chilled, and the staff are amazing even when they’re busy.
“They have such a range of dishes to choose from.”
This Spanish tapas restaurant is the place to be if you fancy multiple small dishes filled with different foods and flavours.

5.) Le Mistral
Sherwood’s favourite French restaurant is seen to be very popular this Valentines day in Nottingham.
Lisa Douglas, member of the Sherwood community, said: “It’s smaller than a lot of restaurants but that’s what makes it feel more intimate.
“The French music, lovely staff and popular atmosphere makes it a great place to take your partner.
“It tastes like France and the food is wonderful.”

6.) Marco Pierre White
Marco Pierre White is one of Britain’s top chef’s, and Nottingham is lucky to have one of his famous restaurants.
It is known for it’s delicious steaks and one of the best bar and grills.
Marie Fitzpatrick, loyal customer, said: “This restaurant serves the best steak in Nottingham, the service is wonderful and they always go out of their way to make a special occasion really feel special.
“We had petals scattered on the table and they made me and my partner a beautiful celebratory dessert for our anniversary.

7.) Alpaca’d with love
Oak Tree farm are hosting an event for you and the person you love on Valentines Day with the company of their alpacas.
This is perfect if you and your partner like being in the open air, surrounded by trees and wildlife.
You can walk with the alpacas or feed them, something out of the ordinary to make your Valentines Day special.
When you want to stop for a rest, you can sip hot chocolate under the oak tree and share some cakes from Betty Rose Bakes.

9.) Live music at Albies
