Tuesday January 25 2022 marks Burns Night to honour famous poet Robert Burns, marking his birthday, so this is the perfect evening to remember his legacy.

Pubs and restaurants through Nottingham are hosting events to celebrate this landmark.

The Lincolnshire Poacher

This pub will be hosting ceilidh band The Big Moose on Tuesday 25 January from 5pm until 11pm, and will be treating their customers to a 30% discount on all their whiskies, with a wide range of over 100 different types customers are spoilt for choice.  The band will play some traditional tunes whilst diners tuck into their haggis meal and the caller will teach people how to dance.

Fox & Grapes

Fox & Grapes are toasting the celebration of burns night with a whiskey tasting evening from 8pm till 10:30pm. Punters will enjoy a selection of the pubs finest curated whiskies alongside three small plate dishes featuring the traditional Scottish meal of haggis, neeps and tatties will be served with an alternative vegetarian option to ensure there is something for everyone. Tickets are available on the night at the bar priced at £30.00 per person.

“As a half scot I feel that it is important to celebrate this event as it really does make people who have made the move to Nottingham feel welcomed.”

Browns Nottingham

A burns night menu is available until January 25 which serves a three course Scottish themed meal to mark the occasion of Scottish mussels, Haggis Neeps & tatties and cranachan served with a Glenfiddich tipple all for £30.00 per person.

Harts Nottingham

Robert Burns legacy is celebrated at the Harts restaurant, Nottingham with a three-course meal for £45.00. Join in on the evening by dining at this venue to enjoy a dish of haggis, neeps and tatties followed by the main event of a slow-cooked mutton with season vegetables; a cranachan for dessert.
