Nottingham Forest have been handed a new date for their Sky Bet Championship fixture with Coventry City.

The Reds were due to welcome the Sky Blues to the City Ground on Saturday 5 February.

However, FA Cup success earlier this month for Steve Cooper’s side has meant that the fixture must be rearranged.

Forest stunned Arsenal in the third round of the world’s oldest football competition to set up a scintillating tie with East Midlands neighbours and current holders Leicester City in the next round.

As a result, the Reds will now host Coventry City two months later than scheduled, welcoming them to the City Ground on Wednesday 6 April with kick-off at 7:45pm.

Coventry sit just two places and three points behind Forest in the table but with two games in hand.

A statement on the club’s website has confirmed that ticket and hospitality details for the match will be confirmed in due course.
