
Notts County have bolstered their backroom staff with the addition of a new goalkeeping coach.
The Magpies announced that Norwich City Academy coach Tom Wheel will join the senior coaching staff.
The appointment follows Tom Keen’s departure from Notts to League One side Burton Albion.
This role will be Wheel’s first senior role having coached goalkeepers in the academies at Championship Nottingham Forest and Huddersfield Town.

Wheel said: “I have had some great times in academy football and have been privileged with some brilliant young goalkeepers and backroom staff, including Norwich’s first team goalkeeper coach Ed Wooten.

Notts County currently sit 5th in the National League having won their last two matches.
County head coach Ian Burchnall said: “Tom comes highly recommended by a good friend of mine from Liverpool who certainly knows his goalkeeping.”
County have conceded 24 goals and kept 7 clean sheets in all competitions in the 2021/2022 season.
