Nottinghamshire Police said the attack happened on Spinney Close in Edwalton.

A man was left with a suspected broken jaw and nose following an attack in a Nottingham village.

A 26-year-old, who has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, reportedly beat up his victim on Spinney Close in the village of Edwalton, at around 2.50 am on Saturday, November 27.

It is believed the victim has sustained a broken jaw, broken nose and swelling and bruising to his face, police said.

The man has since been bailed with conditions, pending further inquiries.

Nottinghamshire Police Detective Sergeant Charlotte Henson described the attack as “nasty”.

She said: “Our investigation is still continuing and we would like to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious.

“Any information or CCTV footage will help us piece together the facts of what happened.”

He appealed to anyone who have witnessed the incident to get in touch with Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 85 of 27 November 2021.
