Nottingham Trent University Football club are making the most of the latest lockdown to to help in the fight against cancer. 

Twelve members of the squad have embarked on the challenge to run a minimum of 2 miles every day throughout February.

Their goal is to raise money for Cancer Research UK, setting themselves a target of £1000, and just 2 days in they have almost reached their goal and will be looking to go further.

Football society President, Benjamin Leo, said: “Its a really good idea. We’ve all been trying to stay in shape because training’s cancelled and now we can do that and help a really good cause.”
