Nottingham Forest are up to 19th in the Sky Bet Championship after an impressive 2-1 away win at Coventry on Tuesday evening.

Chris Hughton’s side went into the game having lost just one of their last six in the league, after a shaky start to the season.

They faced a Coventry side that sat in 18th place, just four points ahead of Forest near the bottom.

Coventry opened the scoring after 17 minutes when Max Biamou netted for the home side.

Just 5 minutes later, a much relieved Lewis Grabban equalised for Forest after a cute Sammy Ameobi cut-back to level the score.

This come after what has been a disappointing season for Grabban, scoring just three goals in 16 games and having injury issues with his hip that has kept him out for almost two months. Grabban netted 20 times in the league the year prior and will be looking to get back into goalscoring form.

Forest took the lead in the second half after Michael Rose diverted the ball into his own net from a Cyrus Christie cross.

The away side fought off a determined Coventry side for the final half an hour and left St. Andrews with all three points.

This was a big win for Forest who are now up to 19th in the league, now four points off of the relegation zone.

The Reds will take on bottom of the table Wycombe Wanderers next on Saturday, and will definitely be looking to take all three points there to widen the gap between themselves and relegation trouble.

With the table extremely tight, other results going their way on the weekend could potentially see the Nottingham side shoot up to 15th.
