An arrest has been made following a disturbance in the Bingham area of Nottinghamshire last night.

Officers attended a house on Carnarvon Close in Bingham where they arrested a 32-year-old man on suspicion of affray.

The man had allegedly been banging on the door of the caller’s house with a baton, threatening him.

An investigation is now underway after the incident took place at around 7pm.

Police Sergeant James Hirst, who is leading the investigation into the incident, said: “Officers were quickly on the scene to start their investigation and a man was located and arrested following a report of the threats.

“The caller reported that a man banged on the door with the baton.

“We believe this is an isolated incident, with no danger to the rest of the community.”

The man remains in police custody.
