
Nottinghamshire Police have confirmed reports that a body was found yesterday around Netherfield Lagoons in Stoke Bardolph.
Police were called to a report of a sudden death of a man near to the River Trent.
A police spokesperson said: “East Midlands Ambulance Service called officers to the scene in Stoke Lane, Stoke Bardolph, at 12.10pm Sunday 31 January.
“The man has not yet been formally identified but his death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Detective Sergeant Rick Ellis, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our thoughts are with this man’s family and friends at this sad time.”
