A man was stabbed in the arm last night by a masked offender who chased him back to his house.

Emergency services were called at around 6.35pm on Monday to St Ann’s following the report of the offence.

It was reported the victim was approached by a man as he spoke to the occupants of a vehicle in a car park area on Duncombe Close.

The masked man is alleged to have attacked the victim before chasing him to his home address.

The masked man was last sighted on Beverley Square and has been described as a white male, in his early 20s, slim build and wearing all black with his face covered.

Nottinghamshire Police detectives are now appealing for witnesses.

Detective Sergeant Nigel Malik is leading the investigation.

He said: “We are keen to speak to these people who we believe were in the area around the time the incident took place.

“Luckily the victim’s injuries are not life-threatening, but it is clearly distressing for his family and friends and for people who live in this area.

“My team have been working to establish who was behind the attack and we are determined to bring them to justice.

“The ambulance service reported that a man had been injured in Duncombe Close in St Ann’s.
