A 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged on suspicion of three burglary offences.

On of the burglaries happened on Ordsall Road in Retford on Saturday, January 23, where cash was taken.

It was after another burglary that took place on Main Street in Newark on Monday, January 4, where nothing was stolen.

Meanwhile a burglar disturbed a victim in Ollerton Road, Retford on Saturday but again, nothing was taken.

Connor Cooper, 19, of no fixed abode was arrested and charged on Saturday, January 23.

He’s been remanded on Sunday, January 24 to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today.

Detective Sergeant Jamie Moore of Nottinghamshire Police said: “Burglaries are a disgraceful crime and we won’t tolerate them happening on our doorstep.

“We have been carrying out robust enquiries which has led to this charge and the investigation continues.

“We treat these offences with the utmost severity and work to bring offenders to justice.”
