A 19-year-old man was tasered by Police as they responded to reports of a knife incident in Nottingham city centre at the weekend.
Officers arrived at the scene on Castle Boulevard, Nottingham, just before 11 pm on Sunday, November 29.
Police deployed a taser on a man within a property after he failed to co-operate with officers and come out of a room.
The man, who was arrested on suspicion of threats to kill continued to act aggressively towards police as they attempted to detain him before the Taser was used.
Sergeant Ria Mobley of Nottinghamshire Police said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this incident.
“I’d like to reassure people that Nottinghamshire Police takes all reports of incidents involving knives extremely seriously and will investigate all reports thoroughly.”
The suspect, who was not hurt, was taken to hospital as a precaution and remains in custody.
