Police have charged a man in his fifties following a stabbing in Mansfield.

Officers were called to Rosemary Street Mansfield around 3:40pm last Thursday, January 30.

Paul Shetcliffe of Saundby Avenue, Mansfield has been charged with actual bodily harm and possession of a bladed article.

A 44-year-old man suffered a minor injury to his hip and was treated by paramedics at the scene.

The man was not taken to hospital.

Shetcliffe is currently on remand and is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on March 2.
