With it being World Vegan Day on Friday 1 November, Dash Vegan and Zero Waste Shop in Cobden Place is a great place to start your vegan journey or become your new favourite one stop shop to support your plant-based lifestyle.
Sophie Birtwistle, 22 is vegan and works at Dash Vegan Shop talks about their ethically sourced products, saving money by buying plastic free products and using your creativity to cook vegan meals you never thought you’d be able to have again.

“With products like Tempeh, jackfruit, and banana blossom, there’s so many normal meals you can make with the products available now that you never thought you would be able to. For example banana blossom has a similar texture to so it is a great replacement for traditional fish and chips.”
Dash features a huge variety of environmentally friendly items which you can easily swap for your normal purchases, including compostable bin bags, plastic-free plasters and reusable sandwich wraps.
The shop also accepts donations of plastic-free sanitary products which go to Nottingham Red Box Project for school girls.
If there’s anything Dash doesn’t stock, there’s a suggestion book for customers to request any items which aren’t already on sale and the staff will try their best to source it for them.
