Nottingham Council House

Kevin Clarke was unanimously voted as Nottingham Independents’ council group leader this morning.

It comes after Nottingham Independents won three seats in last week’s local election to be Nottingham Council’s second biggest party, behind Labour who have 50 seats.

Clarke, who has lived and worked in Nottingham for 40 years after leaving the armed forces and is largely involved in his local community.

Last week’s result saw the Independents overtake the Conservatives as the second biggest party.
