UK Young Artists City takeover

What? Starting this week, 250 artists from 25 countries will be taking to the streets of Nottingham to display creative talent. UK Young Artists are a registered charity doing their best to support the next generation of creativity. The week’s extensive programme will cover live music, performance, literature, visual art, contemporary work and more.

‘Make and take’ Lego event at Smyths Toys Superstore
When? Saturday 16 February, 9am-11am
Where? Smyths Toys Superstore, East Point Retail Park, NG2 3GG
What? Smyths Toys are celebrating the release of The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, by hosting a free ‘Make & Take’ event in all the stores in the UK. It’s the perfect half term event for the family to get stuck in and make your own free Lego creations to take home, but make sure you get there early because there is limited stock available.

Light Night 2019
When? Friday 8 February, 6pm till late
Where? Various Nottingham venues and squares
What? Discover light installations, exciting performances and more, all inspired by the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 spaceflight and first man on the moon. Go to Trinity Square to Dance Under the Stars, with expert dancers leading free workshops or head to Market Square and enjoy the Light Market attractions with some of Nottingham’s best street food and independent traders.

Paris comes to Nottingham

What? A Parisian pop-up is bringing all the charm of the most romantic city in the world this Valentine’s day. The themed event will include a screening of Amelie, a made-to-order crepe and an alcoholic drink.
