The yellow warning for snow and ice is coming to a finish by the end of today following reports from the Met Office – but freezing temperatures in Nottingham are set to continue.

A yellow warning means that the likelihood of snow is very high and the public should be aware of likely changes to rail schedules and road traffic.

Police are urging people to look after their elderly and vulnerable neighbours to make sure they’re safe, warm and well as the cold weather hits.

The prospect for snow is coming to a close with the yellow warning ending at midday on Thursday, January 31.
