Advanced talks are underway to finalise a deal with the central midfielder before the transfer window closes tomorrow.

The 27-year-old from Guinea-Bissau made a move to the French Ligue 1 in July 2018 after agreeing a five year deal with Monaco.

Pele, who’s full name is Judilson Mamadu Tuncar√° Gomes, has made only eight appearances so far this season for Leonardo Jardim’s side.

Having failed to make much of a difference for the French team, there are mixed reactions from Forest fans on Twitter.

One user, Alex Goncalves, said: “I’m genuinely a big fan. He’s a very solid central midfielder, breaks up attacks well and operates as a destroyer in midfield.

“The issue is that he is injury-prone.”

Another fan, Adrien Picard, wrote: “He was really bad at Monaco but maybe he will be better fit for Championship football.”
