Nottinghamshire Police has made an appeal for information after a second cash machine  was targeted by thieves in the tourist village of Edwinstowe within months of each other.

Cash from an ATM was stolen in the early hours of today (Tuesday November 6) in the North Nottinghamshire village, this comes just four months after the village’s Co-op ATM was stolen only yards away from this recent attack.

The cash was stolen from a cash machine at Mills Newsagents on the High Street.

This incident follows a slew of ATM thefts and hold ups in Nottinghamshire in recent years.

Since 2015 Nottinghamshire has come second for cash point theft and robbery after London, which has been in first place since 2007.

Nottingham recorded 59 incidents so far in 2018 and a total of 102 incidents of cash point theft and robbery in 2017.
