Nottinghamshire Police have arrested a man in connection with a serious crash involving a van and a lorry on the A610 Kimberley bypass yesterday.

The 47-year-old van driver remains in hospital, his injuries are described as ‘not life threatening but potentially life altering.’

The lorry driver, a 40-year-old male, was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs.

He has been released on bail.

Nottinghamshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which took place at around 2.50pm on Wednesday 31 October.

They are especially interested to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage of the crash.
