Nottinghamshire Police are urging the public to report suspicious behaviour and activity, in order to help tackle terrorism.
Terrorism has become a threat that can affect anyone, with residents of Nottingham being no exception.
Nottinghamshire Police are pushing the Action Counters Terrorism campaign and urging people to help them by reporting anything unusual.
You may have a friend who looks at extremist material, or creates and shares content on social media that promotes terrorism or extremist views.
Perhaps you have witnessed anyone taking pictures or notes of security arrangements or CCTV.
Or maybe you know someone who stores large amounts of fertilisers, chemicals, gas cylinders, or illegal firearms.
If any of these things sound familiar to you, you should consider reporting them to the police.
A spokesperson from Nottinghamshire Police said: “Don’t worry about wasting police time – no call or click will be ignored.
“Communities defeat terrorism, and with the enduring terrorist threat, it is now more important than ever that everyone plays their part in tackling terrorism.
“Your actions could save lives.”
You can report any concerns to the police on 0800 789 321.
