An East Midlands stretch of the M1 is set to close down for a whole weekend as work for two major infrastructure projects gets underway.
From Friday May 11, to Sunday May 13 the section between Junction 23A and Junction 24, will be closed.
The closure enables two projects to be underway at the same time along the motorway.
The first , is the Kegworth Bypass bridge will be launched over the motorway as part of an infrastructure construction development at SEGRO Logistics Park East Midlands Gateway.
The second project undertaken by Highway England is essential bridge waterproofing along the south of J23A, to prevent full closure of the bridge later on.
All traffic will be diverted along A453, to avoid congestion and delays along the motorway.
