Nottingham Light Night returns for another year with over 50 events taking place across the city.
The event, which takes place Friday, February 23 from 6pm till late looks to support local independent business and causes.
From a silent disco for Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust to watching the sky light up with illuminated bird lanterns by artist Shamila Chady with the Refugee Forum youth group, the event is sure to include all.
We’ve selected some of the best events to choose from:
1Nature Busking – Silent Disco
Hosted by Keeping it Wild Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, get lost in your surroundings and immerse yourself in sounds of nature at the Robin Hood Statue, Castle Road – a distant reality to the city always on the move.
2 Kiddo Dis-Glow
Keep your children busy this half-term and attend Malt Cross’s glow stick dance party at 6-8pm – the event is free but for a £1 donation, you can light up the skies with your very own glow-stick.
3 Light Night City Fun Run
Are you still keeping up with your new years resolutions? Run around the city landmarks and take in the sights and sounds of a lit-up busy city.
4Fancy taking to the ice yourself?
Get involved in the action of the Winter Olympics and take to the ice yourself as part of National Ice Centre’s Light Night. With free UV face painting with every skating ticket, a family session, club night and a chance to win five family skating passes, it’s not something to miss out on.
