Police were called at 6:10pm to St. John's Place.

The man accused of murdering 44-year-old Paula Harris has appeared at Nottingham Crown Court today (February 2).

Michael John Foster, 39, of St. John’s Place, Mansfield, wore a white t-shirt and blue joggers, and spoke only to confirm his name.

The allegations came after police were called to a St. John’s Place address on Monday January 29 at 6:10pm.

Michael Evans QC, Foster’s barrister made no application for bail, so the defendant will remain in custody until his trial.

Foster will be entering his plea on May 25 at Nottingham Crown Court.

The trial date has been set for September 3 by Judge Gregory Dickinson QC, and is believed to go on for five to six days.
