Kevin Nolan will be hoping that the previous reverse fixture earlier this season against Exeter City will give his side a much needed boost to get back to winning ways.

The Magpies, who currently sit second in League Two behind Luton Town, will look to get back to winning ways following a late equaliser against Lincoln City, which meant their mission for promotion continued.

Earlier in the season, Notts travelled home with all three points following a 3-0 victory, with goals from Jorge Grant and Alessandra and it is this that Nolan hopes will encourage his team.

He said: “It gave the lads a bit more belief. It showed we can be a match for anyone when we go somewhere and produce the performance we did that night.

“For me, it’s up there as one of the best this season.”

Exeter City currently sit fifth in a tough promotion battle in the division, with just 10 points separating first and ninth place.

Despite a somewhat lapse in form, Nolan will look to find similar form which helped the team against Brentford and Port Vale.

“I hope this match will be a lot easier on the eye and we can find the form we’ve been showing in games like Brentford and Port Vale to continue this unbeaten run for as long as we can.”
