The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice and snow in Nottinghamshire.
Forecasters say winds reaching up to 70mph are expected to hit Nottingham on Wednesday night – possibly lasting until Thursday afternoon.
The strongest winds are expected to move eastwards before clearing up by early afternoon, with some areas seeing gusts of 80mph.
Commuters faced treacherous conditions on Tuesday morning after wintry showers throughout Monday night.
The warning has been issued throughout all of England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Road and rail services may be affected, which could lead to longer journey times and cancellations.
There is also a chance of power cuts, which have the possibility of affecting other services, such as mobile phone coverage.
Injuries as a result of flying debris are also possible, along with damage to buildings.
The latest warning comes just weeks after Nottingham was hit by strong winds during Storm Eleanor.
