The fight broke out at Gregory Boulevard, Hyson Green

Two men have been arrested after a brawl broke out leaving one man with stab wounds.

The man was stabbed during the fight that occurred yesterday in Gregory Boulevard, Hyson Green.

It is believed that the fight broke out when one group of men attacked another group at around 3pm on Monday 15 January.

The road was cornered off by armed police at around when they were called to the scene.

Police was called out to Gregory Boulevard.

It is thought that five policemen were needed to tackle the issue.

A police spokesman said: “One man is believed to have been injured by a knife in the incident. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.”

No more arrests have been made in relation to the incident.

This event comes just days after another incident involving a robbery at knife point not far from Hyson Green, on Waverley Road in the early hours of Thursday 11 January.

Two men were arrested, one of which has been released but the other is a 22-year-old man who appeared at court yesterday.

A policeman was also injured during the incident.

The police has urged anyone with information that could assist police officers about the fight that occurred in Hyson Green to call 101, quoting incident 455 of 15 January.
