A mere 18 months after the Panama Papers were dramatically revealed, a new round of leaks named the ‘Paradise Papers’, have brought the world’s attention back to the tax evading practices of the wealthiest individuals in society.
The data leaked to German Newspaper, Suddeutsche Zeitung, names people and organisations across the globe including the Queen, Lord Ashcroft, Facebook, and professional driver Lewis Hamilton.
Jeremy Corbyn reacted strongly to the leak: “Anyone that is putting money into tax havens in order to avoid taxation in Britain, obviously investigations have to take place, they should do two things – not just apologise for it but also recognise what it does to our society.”
