Children from a karate club in Nottingham are among hundreds of people taking part in a charity walk in Nottingham.
DKC Karate club, based in Bobbers Mill, Nottingham, will join children and nearly 100 people at Wollaton Park for the Gaza Winter Walk, which aims to raise money for expectant mothers on the Gaza strip.
The walk is organised by the Muslim Hand charity group and will take place on Sunday 12 February.
Event organiser, Sobia Rana, said: “We are organising the walk to bring people from all different faiths and communities together to raise funds for expectant mothers and their new-borns in Gaza.”
This is the eighth year this walk has taken place and has raised thousands of pounds for Muslim Hand.
Daniyaal Davis, managing director of the club, said: “We have supported many different events – we’ve raised awareness and donations for Children in Need and we have done the same for Syrian refugee children who have joined our club.”
The event starts at 11am and finishes at 3pm. Register online for a free fund raising kit.
