Countless fans were left heart broken as both of Ed Sheeran’s Nottingham show dates on his worldwide tour sold out in seconds.

The tickets went on general sale at 10am today (Thursday) costing between £44 and £77 and by a minute past the hour fans took to Twitter claiming tickets had already ran out, tweeting the popular musician himself in desperation to release more Nottingham tour dates.

Rebecca Williams of Kingston Avenue, Ilkeston, was just one of many who tried to get tickets to the stars Nottingham shows. She said: “This morning my daughter asked for tickets for the show. She messaged me at 9:30am to remind me and by 10am they were sold out straight away.”

Rebecca, 36, added: “The only tickets left were over £330 which is disgusting as people are making money themselves from this.”

Motorpoint Arena Nottingham apologised for tickets being available on the secondary ticketing sites.

A spokesperson said: “We are very sorry to hear concerns regarding ticket touts and secondary ticketing for Ed Sheeran. We have no association with any secondary ticketing services and as a venue we strongly disagree with the practice.”
