Nottingham’s new big thing Kagoule lit up a sell-out crowd under the purple lights of The Bodega.

Made up of Cai, Lucy and Lawrence, the band got together in school where they started out only knowing how to play Basket Case by Green Day and Crying Lightning by Arctic Monkeys.

Kagoule released debut album Urth last August and have since been rising up bills and festival line-ups.

The band cite their fondest moments as a trip to New York performing and their appearance on the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury Festival.

Sam Drury caught up with UK Grunge trio before their sell out show live at The Bodega.
