A man who was hit by a lorry on Colwick Loop Road in Nottingham has died from his injuries.
The collision happened at around 6.30 this morning.
Police have closed the A612 Daleside Road in both directions, from the Racecourse Road junction to the Victoria Park Way junction, and diversions have been put in place.
A policse spokesman said: “The road is expected to remain closed for the rest of the morning.”
Further congestion is expected around Sneinton Dale and Carlton Road.
Police have stated the lorry driver was uninjured.

We now have a limited service Citylink 2 running between City, Carlton Road, Colwick Industrial Estate and Victoria Retail Park.

Public transport has also been affected as Nottingham City Transport bus routes 44,44A and C2 are unable to use Daleside Road or New Vale Road.
